Software Engineer, Generative AI for Image/Video, 3D/4D

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  
• 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
  
• 3 years of experience with end-to-end Machine Learning (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging).
• Experience with Generative AI.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

Our team works on aspects of generative AI in the pixel space (images, videos), 3D/4D and generally agentic visual expression, working closely with Platforms and Devices (P&D) product teams and GDM research teams.

Responsibilities:

• Build leading-edge emerging AI capabilities and technologies partnering with research teams across Google to develop novel user experiences.
  
• Help improve Google's Gemini models: Data processing, fine-tuning, evaluation, safety and security.
  
• Help build features that lean on these capabilities to meet the users where they are.
  
• Cultivate and collaborative team environment.
