**Manager said they need to be able to rely on this
resource to interact directly with executives. We need to get someone
with software development experience AND executive presence**
Very strong
business acumen.
The team's
mandate is shifting away from data science and more toward software development
and automation.
One candid note
to help you target the search. The attached Job Description leans heavily on
AI, and that framing matters on our side, but the real need is a strong
general software developer. The AI tooling (Power Automate, Power Apps,
Copilot Studio, Copilot endpoints) sits on top of solid engineering: REST
APIs, custom connectors, webhooks, and full lifecycle ownership. A good
developer picks up the AI layer quickly; the reverse is much harder.
So when
screening, weight engineering depth over AI buzzwords. Particulars: 5–8
years building production solutions.
