Key Responsibilities

Be a hero to administrators and educators!  The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) is looking for an experienced educator to provide guidance on school improvement with an emphasis in collaboration, data usage, and evidence-based instructional practices through the lens of Artificial Intelligence. As an Assessment to Achievement AI (A2A AI) Specialist, you will travel along the Wasatch Front providing training and coaching for school personnel of all levels on how to improve efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in schools through AI integration. This includes using Artificial Intelligence to support teacher clarity, compile and analyze data, and build efficient collaborative meetings. This position is for two years and is a part-time position that is during regular school day hours. 

Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:

  • Supporting the development of the A2A AI program and collaborating with our vendor through weekly meetings
  • Reviewing professional learning session outlines and slides
  • Weekly virtual support and monthly on-site school coaching for assigned schools
  • Attend quarterly professional learning sessions

 

Qualifications

Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:

  • Current Utah State Education License
  • 5+ years of education experience
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and experience with the online Google suite
  • Demonstrated use of assessment data to improve instruction

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an education or related field
  • Experience utilizing AI in education
  • Previous successful leadership or school coaching experience
  • Understanding of school improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory
