AI & Power Platform Developer:

The AI & Power Platform Developer is instrumental in building and automating intelligent business applications, agents, and processes that streamline operations and unlock actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have experience developing solutions using MS Fabric, Dataverse, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint, with a strong background in data analysis, dashboard creation, and business process automation. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency designing and deploying AI-powered solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude to build autonomous and semi-autonomous agents that augment business workflows.

This position is perfect for a strong builder on the Microsoft stack who is looking to enter an organization on the ground floor of its modern data, analytics, and AI journey. This role will make immediate impact as a key member of a lean, high-impact IT team as the company continues to scale and grow. The AI & Power Platform Developer will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and work closely with project managers and business stakeholders at every level across the Company.

What you will do:

  • Partner with project managers and business stakeholders at every level to understand their needs and translate them into practical, AI-enabled solutions. Then build the solutions into secure, scalable, well-tested applications that run dependably in our environment and are ready for real users.
  • Develop and automate workflows using Power Automate - including AI Builder and Copilot-driven flows - to streamline and optimize business processes.
  • Build and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps to solve business challenges and enhance productivity.
  • Design, build, and maintain Copilot Agents, declarative agents, and custom engine agents using Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry to automate decision-making, surface insights, and act on behalf of users across business functions.
  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI capabilities (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Azure AI Search, Claude) into business applications, workflows, and data products.
  • Develop and refine prompts, grounding strategies, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns to ensure agents return accurate, secure, and contextually relevant responses.
  • Integrate and customize SharePoint solutions to support collaboration, document management, knowledge grounding for AI agents, and process automation.
  • Work closely with our external partners’ data engineers, database administrators, and IT teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and security across both traditional and AI workloads.
  • Support and train end users on the tools you build, driving adoption and responsible, confident use.
  • Perform data analysis, cleansing, and transformation from various sources to ensure data quality and reliability for both analytics and AI/LLM consumption.
  • Continuously monitor BI and AI system performance—including agent accuracy, response quality, and cost/usage of LLM endpoints—identifying and addressing potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Partner with the CIO and security team to ensure all AI solutions are designed in alignment with the Company’s Responsible AI, data governance, and Microsoft Purview compliance standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Copilot, agentic AI, LLMs, and the Power Platform, and bring forward recommendations that move use ahead.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • 5+ years preferred hands-on experience of building solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI (DAX queries, Power Query, data modeling).

A builder’s mindset: you take an idea or a rough prototype and create a finished, dependable application that people can use.

  • Extensive experience with Power Automate to design and implement automated workflows, including AI Builder components.
  • Experience with SharePoint development and customization, including integration with Power Platform tools and use as a grounding source for Copilot agents.
  • Proficiency in SQL, and experience with ETL, data integration, and data transformation.
  • Hands-on familiarity with MS Copilot and Copilot Studio, including building prompts, declarative agents, custom topics, plugins, and connectors.
  • Practical experience working with AI models and LLMs in applications, including prompt engineering, prompt evaluation, and grounding through RAG patterns.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI principles, data privacy, and the security considerations unique to generative AI and agent-based solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical and AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with CI/CD and Development Operations (i.e. Azure DevOps) and Project Management methods and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, Fabric, SharePoint, or AI (e.g., AI-102 Azure AI Engineer Associate, AI-900, and Copilot certifications) are highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry (or equivalent), Azure AI Document Intelligence, and Azure AI Search for building enterprise-grade AI solutions.
  • Experience with MS Fabric, Azure Data Services, Microsoft Dynamics, or other CRM/ERP systems.
  • Experience in managing and securing data access and permissions in SharePoint and Power BI, including governance of Copilot agents and AI data sources via Microsoft Purview.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Copilot integrated with the Power Platform.
  • Experience building and deploying multi-agent or orchestrated AI solutions (e.g., using Copilot Studio orchestration, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks).
  • Familiarity with evaluating model performance, hallucination mitigation, and monitoring LLM-powered solutions in production.
  • Experience with Python, React, Typescript or other languages commonly used in AI/ML development.
