AWS is seeking exceptional engineers who are hands-on technical problem solvers.  Ideal candidates are strong team players, willing to work collaboratively and driven to continuous development.  AWS is a sister company of EControls and Ethium.   

We are looking for self-starter, hands-on Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with 3-5 years of automotive industry experience specifically in Cable and Wire Harness design and manufacturing.  

Responsibilities:
Design and document new cable and harness designs using Zuken and Solidworks software.  Transition new designs into production.
Manufacturing Support Engineer for cable and wire harness manufacturing. 
Designated leader for new product development of cables and wire harnesses, guiding the team through our phase gate development process.  Interacting with both customers and suppliers on technical topics.
Lead design analysis (FEA, CFD), design reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, DFM, design validation test specifications and work with the teams to achieve project timelines.
Cross-functional team leader able to work with key stakeholders, to both launch new and support existing, products. 
Prepare project plans, including a detailed design schedule, product cost estimate, and development cost timeline.  Works with the cross functional project team to get buy-in and agreement of the plan.
Mentor and train junior engineers to develop a strong, consistent engineering organization. 

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proficient in 3D mechanical design and analysis tools.  Zuken experience preferred. Experience with  Solidworks is a plus.
Understand and apply GD&T Standards
Experience with FEA
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
