You'll thrive in this position if you're highly technical, curious, collaborative, and excited about evolving beyond traditional infrastructure automation into agentic systems, autonomous workflows, and AI-assisted operations. You'll join a fast-paced, project-oriented team focused on reliability at scale while helping shape the future of AI-driven operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, operate, and continuously improve AI agents that automate operational, engineering, and support workflows.
Develop agent orchestration frameworks using large language models (LLMs), tool integrations, structured workflows, and workflow-based automation patterns.
Build and maintain automation pipelines that combine AI reasoning and decision-making with deterministic systems, controls, and operational processes.
Implement Python-based services supporting AI agent execution, control, and integration with internal platforms including APIs, ITSM systems, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines for AI-enabled services and automation platforms.
Serve as an escalation point for complex AI and automation issues while identifying opportunities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort through agentic automation.
Document architectures and workflows, research emerging AI technologies, and develop proofs of concept to evaluate new capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Expert-level Python development experience with strong knowledge of automation and orchestration frameworks.
Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, working with Git, and integrating systems through REST APIs.
Proficiency in YAML and JSON.
Experience building AI agents, autonomous systems, or AI-driven automation solutions, with familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and tool-calling frameworks.
Experience combining AI decision logic with deterministic automation and designing event-driven, workflow-based systems.
Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and collaborate effectively across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code practices, Ansible, or other configuration management tools.
Experience with JavaScript, databases, and modern application development technologies.
Experience working within financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
This position will be located in New York City or Philadelphia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
