Affiliate & Outreach AI Visibility Specialist

Own how our brands get found and cited: in affiliate networks, in editorial coverage, and increasingly inside ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. You build the partnerships and earned coverage that put our shops in front of people who barely type a search query any more.

About the role

Search is splitting in two. Half our future customers will still click a link; the other half will read an answer a language model wrote, and that answer only mentions us if the open web does.

This role owns the off-page half of that problem. You run our affiliate partnerships and earn coverage from publications that carry weight, then make sure those pages are the ones language models cite. It is one job, not two: the relationships that bring affiliate revenue bring the mentions that make us visible in AI answers. You get a budget, agency relationships and a direct line into our SEO team.

To be clear, this is outreach and partnership work, not on-site SEO or editing our own websites, and it is an on-site role rather than remote.

The Customization Group is a global leader in mass customization and print-on-demand e-commerce, manufacturing up to 2.5 million personalized products daily across production sites in Germany, Poland, the USA and Latvia, and reaching customers through 20+ online shops and 1,000+ partner stores: 750+ people, 40+ nationalities, 10 locations.

In a nutshell -you own affiliate partnerships and earned coverage, and you make our brands the ones AI answers cite.

The role in detail

What you will own, and what we need from you. Side by side, no surprises.

What you will do

Ordered by share of your week: partner and publisher relationships take the largest slice, and the AI-visibility work grows out of them.

→ Run the affiliate partner portfolio.
Build relationships with new partners, keep existing ones productive, and work alongside our agencies rather than handing everything to them.
→ Own the affiliate budget.
Plan the spend, decide on media placements and partner positioning, and show what each placement returned.
→ Earn editorial placements.
Answer journalist requests on HARO, Qwoted and SOS, pitch proactively to relevant writers, and send products out for review where it fits.
→ Design promotions partners want to run.
Build the offers and campaigns that give publishers and affiliates a reason to feature us.
→ Prioritise what language models cite.
Go after high-authority publications first, then track whether those URLs actually surface in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
→ Create work worth citing.
Original research, consumer surveys, expert collaborations and case studies: assets that earn links instead of asking for them.
→ Align with SEO and the wider team.
Share keyword targets with the SEO team, and pull in design, product and legal to get assets out and deals signed.

Requirements

The must-haves are genuine; the rest are strong pluses, not gates. If four of these describe you, apply.

Must have

→ Affiliate marketing experience.
Typically 3+ years running affiliate partnerships: signing partners, managing networks, and growing the ones that work.
→ PR and outreach as daily work.
Cold pitches, follow-ups, and the rejection rate that comes with them, with earned placements you can point to.
→ AI-first in how you work.
You have used AI tools hands-on for at least a year, you know how to give a model the right context to get a useful answer, and you check what it gives you before passing it on. Bonus if you have built something small with AI yourself.
→ A track record you can show.
Placements you earned, partners you signed, links that came from a pitch rather than a purchase.
→ Budget and negotiation.
You have managed an affiliate budget and negotiated terms with partners or agencies.
→ Negotiation-level English.
You will work with teams across several countries.

Nice to have

→ Some off-page SEO.
Helpful but not essential: we care more about outreach and partnerships than technical SEO.
→ Tracking visibility in AI answers.
Experience checking whether ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Overviews cite a brand.
→ Original-research campaigns.
You have run survey-led or original-research campaigns that earned coverage.
→ E-commerce background.
E-commerce, D2C or print-on-demand experience (preferred, not required).

Why this role, why now

What you get to work with, not what we want from you.

Market

You are early, not late

AI-answer visibility has no settled playbook. Most companies still treat it as an SEO footnote. Here it is in the role from day one, so the methods you build become the standard.

Scale

20+ shops, 1,000+ partner stores

Your outreach is not for one brand in one market. We run 20+ of our own shops and supply 1,000+ partner stores, so a campaign that works once has somewhere else to go immediately.

Ownership

Your budget, your calls

You plan the affiliate spend and decide where it goes. Agencies support you; they do not own the strategy.

Build with AI, then argue with it

Reach for AI when it saves you a day, and push back when the answer is wrong. Building small tools of your own, to track citations or triage outreach, is welcome.

Who we are looking for

This role rewards an outreach instinct and genuine AI fluency. Here is the honest test.

You will thrive here if

→ You would rather earn a mention than buy one, and you know the difference shows.
→ You decide what needs building and then build it, with AI where AI helps.
→ You question what a model tells you instead of passing it straight on.
→ You keep going after the eighth unanswered pitch because the ninth lands.

Probably not a fit if

→ You want affiliate work that stays inside networks and dashboards: much of this role is outreach to people who did not ask to hear from you.
→ You need a proven playbook. AI-answer visibility has none yet, and part of the job is finding what does not work.
→ You need results attributable within a month. Earned coverage compounds over quarters, and we judge it that way.
→ You expected remote work or on-site SEO: this is an on-site role in Riga, Latvia, and it is outreach and partnerships, not editing our websites.

Pay & benefits

We publish the number, so pay is not a negotiation tax. Where you land in the band depends on demonstrated outreach results, not on how hard you push in the final call.
