Position Summary :

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to lead analytical and domain-driven initiatives supporting an enterprise-wide Reconciliation Platform that underpins critical financial processes, including cash, position, and GL reconciliations, exception management, certification, and close activities.

This role requires deep expertise in financial reconciliation processes, advanced data analysis, and strong hands-on technical capabilities (SQL, Python) to diagnose issues, strengthen controls, and drive operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

This role serves as a strategic partner and subject matter expert, working closely with Finance, Operations, Technology, and Risk/Control teams, and plays a key role in advancing data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities across the platform

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of job related experience required .
  • Strong experience in financial reconciliation platforms (cash, GL, position)
  • Deep understanding of exception management, financial controls, and close processes
  • Experience working in a regulated financial services environment
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, data validation)
  • Experience in Python (data analysis, automation, basic ML exposure preferred)
  • Experience working with large data sets, ETL pipelines, and data integration
  • Familiarity with data visualization / BI tools is a plus
  • Strong ownership mindset with ability to work independently and drive outcomes.
  • Ability to operate in complex, cross-functional environments.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
