Job DetailsJob Location: Headquarters - Bryan, TX 77803Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: DayEntry-Level AI Solutions Architect Kent Moore Cabinets | Bryan, Texas | Full-Time Reports to: VP of Development About KMC Kent Moore Cabinets is a Texas-based cabinet manufacturer serving homebuilders across the state from eight locations. We build the systems that run the business — every internal application, every operational tool, every data pipeline is developed and owned by our team. We don't outsource our core systems and we don't rely on off-the-shelf platforms to run the company. If it matters to how KMC operates, our Development team built it. AI is growing inside KMC — not as a buzzword, but as real infrastructure. We're connecting internal databases through MCP servers, building AI-assisted workflows into our operational tooling, and now establishing the governance and training framework that makes AI work safely across a 700-person organization. This role exists to help us build and manage that infrastructure the right way. What You'll Do In your first year, you'll work directly alongside our VP of Development to build the foundation of KMC's AI program. That means hands-on work, not coordination work. Specifically: Design and implement MCP server connections between AI tools and KMC's internal SQL Server databases Build and maintain AI-integrated features within our internal web applications Develop and manage KMC's internal AI knowledge base on SharePoint, including role-specific training modules for drafting, sales, and operations teams Help draft and maintain KMC's AI Acceptable Use Policy and data governance framework Evaluate new AI tools and integrations as they emerge and make recommendations grounded in KMC's actual needs Work within our Azure/M365 environment to connect AI capabilities to systems our teams already use Participate in the full software development lifecycle — requirements, build, test, deploy, maintain What We're Looking For Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases Familiarity with REST APIs and how systems integrate with each other Exposure to at least one AI/LLM platform (Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar) — personally or academically Strong written communication skills — you'll be writing documentation and training content that non-technical employees have to understand Genuine curiosity about how AI tools work and how they can be applied practically, not just theoretically Preferred: Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, or Python Familiarity with Azure services or Microsoft 365 ecosystem Any exposure to MCP servers, RAG pipelines, or LLM integrations Understanding of data security principles and access control Experience with SharePoint or similar knowledge management platforms What we're actually looking for beyond the resume: Someone who learns fast, communicates clearly, takes ownership of their work, and is more interested in solving real problems than working with impressive technology for its own sake. The AI field moves quickly — we need someone who keeps up, not someone who coasts on what they knew at graduation. What You'll Get Direct mentorship from experienced developers who have built production systems from scratch Exposure to the full breadth of how a manufacturing company runs — sales, operations, production, HR — and the systems that power all of it The autonomy to own real projects, not tickets A role that grows with you — this is not a support position with a ceiling Competitive salary: $85,000 – $105,000 depending on experience Full benefits, 401(k), and paid time off Bryan, Texas — genuinely affordable, no state income tax, not a commute city To Apply Submit your resume and a brief note — not a cover letter, just a few sentences — explaining one specific thing you've built or done with AI, even if it was a personal project or coursework. If you haven't built anything yet, tell us what you'd build first if you had the tools. Physical/Mental/Essential Functions of the Job: May stand and walk several hours or more per day.
