AI & Automation Enablement Specialist

Job Summary:

The AI & Automation Enablement Specialist will help employees identify, implement, and support AI-driven automation opportunities across the organization. This role combines light technical development, workflow automation, AI tool expertise, coaching, and documentation.

The ideal candidate is passionate about emerging AI technologies and enjoys helping others improve efficiency through practical automation solutions. This person does not need to be a senior software engineer but should be comfortable with low-code/no-code automation platforms, basic scripting, API integrations, and using AI-assisted development tools.

This role will work closely with business users to streamline workflows, improve productivity, document solutions, and build a reusable internal automation library for future use.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

AI & Automation Coaching

• Help employees identify opportunities to improve workflows using AI and automation 
• Coach internal teams on how to effectively use AI tools in day-to-day operations 
• Recommend the best AI tools and platforms based on business needs 
• Support user adoption and ongoing optimization of automation solutions 

Automation Development

• Build and maintain automations using platforms such as: 
• n8n 
• Make.com 
• Zapier 
• Microsoft Power Automate 
• Create lightweight integrations between business systems and AI tools 
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to rapidly prototype solutions 
• Perform basic scripting and API integrations as needed 

AI Tool Expertise

• Maintain working knowledge of modern AI platforms including: 
• ChatGPT 
• Claude 
• Gemini 
• Perplexity 
• Understand the strengths, limitations, and best-use cases of various AI tools 
• Stay current on emerging AI trends and technologies 

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Document workflows, automations, prompts, and implementation standards 
• Build and maintain an internal library of reusable automation solutions 
• Create simple guides and training materials for end users 
• Standardize automation best practices where possible

Requirements

Required

• Strong interest and enthusiasm for AI and automation technologies 
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity 
• Familiarity with automation platforms such as: 
• n8n 
• Make.com 
• Zapier 
• Microsoft Power Automate 
• Comfortable with AI-assisted development (VS Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Lovable, Claude Code, Codex, etc)
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies 
• Strong communication and coaching skills 
• Organized with good documentation habits 

A Plus But Not Required

• Bachelor’s degree in: 
• Business Information Systems (BIS) 
• Management Information Systems (MIS) 
• Computer Science 
• Related technical field 
• Basic coding or scripting experience 
• Experience working with APIs and integrations 
• Docker/container experience 
• Experience supporting business users or internal process improvement initiatives
